Power usage of 12V supplied USB sockets when not in use (1 Viewer)

If a 2.1w USB socket is permanently connected to a 12v supply will it consume power when no device is plugged in?

Yes, but negligible, a few mA. The led light, if it has one, will consume some power as well but again very little.

Most definitely.
You will need an extra battery and 300 watts of solar just to keep up with it. ;)
