Hi Funsters,
My Talbot Talisman is so hard to drive unless your "Popeye" (Bounding Biceps).
I can only find One supplier who supplies and fits. If any one can help me find a reasonably priced mechanic somewhere in the south of the country
ide be very pleased.
Happy holidays this year (im praying).
Yours Luke.

Are your front tyres up to correct pressure?? Soft tyres will make a huge difference.
Funny thing is---- we recently bought a fiat version which I thought wouldn't have power steering------' thought it felt good and investigated only to find it had!!!!.
I assume your Talbot doesn't have P/S??----- it should be quite useable once on the move--- but VERY heavy while stationary🥵🥵

Edit --- if the steering is so heavy while driving it may be part of the system is seized?????

I read this as a steering mechanic who is power assisted.

Made me smile.

If you can find a scrapped Talbot Express or ducato mk1 you could pinch the PS off that. Not an easy job but doable for a good mechanic.

I have a mechanic friend who has a Talbot Express. I'll ask him if his has power steering
