Possible swap meet in Norfolk (1 Viewer)

Just a thought..
after speaking to a fair few folk, telling all what a lot of fun we had at Pauls Bring and Buy, a good few peeps said it was too far from this area ( East Anglia ) to be practicable..

This coming year I will not be running the Fun / Bird meet as I reckon it only has legs for a bi-annual event.

However, if there is any interest, I would be willing to sort out a site and organise a bring anf buy ( eastern ) meet mid June to July ( slotting in in-between the other events and rallies )

What say you good people ..

Ok.. so far so good.... We would need a hellova a lot of folk to be able to use the Rugby club again
The site rental for a weekend is £300 from Friday thru to Monday, so we would need at least 20 vans to pledge for the event making it £15.00 per van for the weekend

Looks like 4 would be up for it so far... any more for any more ? ( I know it is a long way off but the site would have to be booked by about mid October )

So I get it, you steel my Bring and buy meet, I then have to do your Blackbird meet? is that right? Is that what you mean by swap meet?

It will never work, the only thing I know about Blackbirds is that they take all your money like white chicks do but in my experience they dance better. :Cool:

would be interested. Not normally here in the summer so miss lots of MHF meets but will be here in June/July but not avaliable 1st or last week week in June so as long as it's not then we could come. nice as it would not be too far from us hopefully - Harwich!

The site at Mildenhall where we spend a bit of time has a rally field--------no bar, but a dump, water and SOME EHU points.

The idea of a 'swap meet' in the East is a really good one IMHO

Many thanks for the other suggestions for sites but chances are they would actually work out more expensive to the individual than the aimed for maximum £15.00 per van for the whole weekend.

Whatever the rental cost we can divide up betwixt those attending,, so for instance if 30 vans attend ( and providing the site cost is £300 ) that would be £10 per van for the whole weekend.. not too bad !!

If it does go ahead I shall proly organise some silly goings on as per this year :thumb:

The weekend before would be OK but not the one after because the Rutland meet goes on until the 15th and we are assistant marshals By the way, we know how you feel! Jane

Sadly the oppertunity for this has now passed as the site is now fully booked..

Could not arrange anything as I did not want to tread on toes and there was another meet on the go ( but no date set )

Will look at other possible sites etc though as I am sure a lot of folk would still be up for this ( in fact.............. Just had a thought about a possible very good, very cheap venue !
