Possible Fishing Meet/Competition

Having took part in a fishing competition with other forum members that I thoroughly enjoyed, and caught my first ever fish.
The Idea crossed my mind, Any Interest out there for a Friendly Fun type fishing meet/competition with the emphasis on Fun, beginners especialy welcome,
I'm sure there will be spare tackle available for those that don't have it
suggesting late May or June , a suitable venue has been located in the Derby area with children's go Karts suitable for 8 to 14 year olds only

Geo does have a site in mind but he's not around at the moment - I'll make sure he's aware of your interest and he can then tell you where he plans to go. I can't remember the site name or I would tell you myself. It looks quite a good site actually but then I'm not the fisherman oh:

Yes indeed it was a great meet
Fishing from 10am to around 3pm,(thats when the fish ran out) to give us all time to talk about the ones that got away, and those that never were! eh Ash, followed by a communial BBQ and liquid refreshment session, where every one met every one, could'nt be better
Fishing is not compulsary at this meet so come join in the social side, bring the kids ,they make great bait, Karting for 8 to 14 year olds most popular seems june so lets get down to it Fri june 27th it is, bringing your two for a dip Linda??

Not sure Geo...tis a long hike for us - already got a lot of long distance trips (shows included) booked.... :Sad: ....I would love nothing more than to get me gear out (consisting of a stick with some line wrapped round it, a hook and a stone for a weight - worked in Jamaica!), I could use the kids as bait and JC could wreak havoc on the go-karts................bliss!

John its easy mate you nip up the week before and give the biggest fish in the lake a few titbits and he sends all his chums to my hook on the day
