Reading the below Germany may ban gas-powered engines
Only allowing zero emissions so that's electric or hydrogen vehicles only
Hydrogen fuel far as I know emits water and oxygen stands back to be shot down

German lawmakers vote to ban all new gas-powered cars after 2030
    The Week

Lawmakers in the Bundesrat, the upper house of Germany's parliament, agreed to a resolution that would ban production of all new internal combustion engines — which means all new gas- and diesel-powered cars — beginning in 2030, Der Spiegel reported Saturday. Instead, "only zero-emission passenger vehicles will be approved," the ban says. On its own, the resolution has no legal authority, because such a ban would have to be enacted by the European Union, not at the national level. However, notes Read the full story

You wont be able to anyway...unless you have a VERY fat wallet to cover the ensuing emissions zone (whole country) charges

All the more reason to run an older motorhome. Old timers are allowed free passage in Umwelt zones.

I can worry about almost anything but even I can't worry about whether or not I will be able to drive my motorhome to Germany in 14 years. I might not be able to get a visa either. I might also be dead by then.

One assumes that FREE replacement vehicles WILL be provided to all those who cannot afford the Horrendous prices of "0" emission vehicles?, (Pink porcine animals, with curly tails, all fuel`d and ready to fly, Sir!) and they have costed out the viability of having recharge points every 30 miles on every road in the country?.

IMV, it`s total B_S!. the overall cast of PRODUCING these vehicles has as least as large a "Carbon Footprint" over their life span. Exactly the same as "Wind Turbines" and Solar panels etc;.

Yes I don't think Sharia law covers the emissions of motor vehicles, so it will be OK!

It only applies to the sale of new vehicles. They are not banning existing vehicles.

I think it is a good idea. Aim high, fail higher.
