just got back from a golfing week in the Algarve, and there were motorhomes everywhere saw some parked up by Faro airport didn't look a great place to stop.

Oh I know where you mean, however, depending on wind direction does that not mean you hav eplane wheels inches above your head?Nope...
Not there.
Between the airport and Faro beach.
If you don't want to stop there, fair enough, but brilliant if you are a plane spotter or meeting someone's flight early in the morning etc.

No disrespect or personal offence intended, but an awful lot of us who live in Portugal think much the same about golf courses being everywhere you lookjust got back from a golfing week in the Algarve, and there were motorhomes everywhere saw some parked up by Faro airport didn't look a great place to stop.

Best close them all down then and convert them to farms. That would suit me as Im not a golfer, and I've lost count of the number of times Ive been in bars and restaurants in a Portugal and had to suffer the embarrassment of sitting near a table of golfers. Most of them are on the lash, end up shouting instead of talking and get over excited as soon as they're away from her indoors.Reaching for helmet. One golf course can use as much water as ten small farms.
Acres and acres of land used up for the enjoyment of so few at any one time...
18 holes with fourball on each one (highly unlikely) 72 people... grrrrrrrrrrr
