Our usual route is:
Palencia (all the aires)

Salamanca 40deg 57'17" -5deg 40'4" Behind church La Santisim Trinidad del Arrabol. accessed coming over the Enrique esteban bridge from downtown and turn right. Alternatively Salamanca just a quarter of a mile further on next to Lidl 40deg 57'27" -5deg 40'38" Calle Buenaventura both are an easy walk to city centre.

Either Cacares or push on as far as Zafra (both in all the aires book)

From Zafra you can make it to the Algarve at either Castro Marim (all the aires) or Vilaa Real de Santo Antonio 37° 12' 0" North, 7° 25' 0" West which we prefer as there's more to do.

Hope that helps
Mike
