They were certainly open a few weeks ago as far as we were aware. They were closed some time ago over planning problems but they were overcome. If you do find them closed there are several alternatives nearby for an overnight stop

Last comment on Camper Contact dated 17/4. However above that is the closure statement ? Hopefully it's out of date.

Got a message last night from olwyn that Mikki has been told she must reduce the number of vans, olwyn and a few others have lived on the site permanently for a few years now and have been told to go. We were there last winter when meters were being installed in the showers. It certainly got extremely crowded at one point, don't know where all the increased holiday MHs are going to go in Portugal

Lol, I saw the above post that mentioned Alrewas, which is a village in Staffordshire for anyone that doesn't know and thought maybe the owners had come from there. Turns out it's more likely a predictive text issue.

There seems to be rumours every year about them closing down or having to reduce numbers, but then all seems to go back to normal.

Used to be a Portuguese bloke who posted on here, he had some sort of campsite , and people on here used to say how good it was, but havnt seen anyone comment on it or seen any posts from the bloke either, anyone know what happened to him.

we stayed there a few months ago,and were made welcome.
a nice quiet place and a charming hard working couple!
well worth a visit.(you can walk to Paderne)

Stayed at Pedro's about 18 months ago for a couple of weeks.
Great character and great fun, haven't laughed so much for years.
