Portugal and Spain - local fiesta's

We are hoping to be in Spain, then Portugal in June/July. Have been trying to find information on local festivals, but information is sparse, particularly on Portugal. Anyone with knowledge of proposed events this year, or a website that has accurate info. When I say festivals, I don't mean big music one's.

A lot are " Local " events" and they stagger the weekends,so they all get a bite of the cherry. The local ones start off really well................ Never seen how they finish,as i am usually driven home before then,and poured out the back of a vehicle back home.....Out of it.
One, at a village near Mortagua,on the side of a hill..." Dancing ? " BBQ. Driving nails into tree stumps Air rifle shooting ( You had to wait as dancers passed and folk with half a pound of " Porco in a cob crossed the range. Piano accordian music and a fiddle. Lucky me,being carried out horizontally was out of the line of fire.

Festivals are on pretty much all of the time but staggered in different towns and villages. Moors and Christians or patron saint of something or other. Any excuse for a party!! We arrived by chance in Moraira when the festival for the patron saint of fishermen was on. It was a party every night for a week. Just google what’s on for a particular area and you should get info.
