Portugal and North West Spain (1 Viewer)

Has anyone done the above in September and October.!
We visited Portugal this April and enjoyed it so much I'm planning to go back next year for 8 weeks to explore more of the middle and North of the country and possibly North West spain depending on the recommendations from other Funsters who have done this. Fairly sure weather will be good this time of year with plenty of spaces on Aires/stop overs etc., so just need a heads up on must see places.

You can't guarantee the weather so might be worth having a Plan B involving southern Spain.

We are just coming to the end of a trip covering a similar area. We didn't do the Portuguese coast though apart from a bit of the Algarve.

Not the most reliable weather in Europe,,they brag about the rain in Santiago..We will be there early sept but will head quickly south if weather is iffy,,BUSBY

We have been in Northern Portugal and North West Spain twice in September/October, with variable weather. First time the weather was OK but then deteriorated to the point where it got cold and wet so we headed home. Last autumn though it was beautiful weather and we spent some time in the Douro valley basking in beautiful warm sunshine in mid October. So from that experience I would say a bit hit and miss. There was always plenty of spaces available in the Aires when we were there
