If they take more than 10 days getting to the Uk once they have left Portugal the hotel quarantine isn't required.

Let me clarify this for those who haven't got it.

17 million voted for Brexit. 16 million didn't 37 million didn't vote at all so 17 million , " a tiny minority" have outed the Uk & the other 53 million, from the EU. This is why you don't have referendums unless they are mandatory.
We allowed a 'tiny minority' to remove us from the EU so I cannot see why we cannot have the Portugese removed from the red list the same way?
It is on par with the 'quorum' at union meetings when the apathetic didn't vote & then wonder why they are on strike ?
& yes hopefully the petition will get up in to the millions .
You really need to do a bit of research before posting figures gus, only 46.5m were eligible to vote. Just under 13m didn't and didn't give a stuff either way.

The electorate of 46.5m represents 70.8% of the population.

Sure thats not a foot love? My age has nothing to do with you, are you an old git?

In a general election people are not adding the non voters to their cause

For reasons known only to them, After the referendum, leavers did it all the time and are still doing it.

Then the same could be applied to a referendum.BUSBY.
Yes,exactly,.Should only ever be compulsory 100% voting.
we need to get into Spain first, Any thoughts or indicators when they might let us in?
No.but it will probably be before we can leave our region.
June was mentioned this morning for anyone who has had both abs & with the new Vaccine card the spanish will be issuing.
If we let politicians (which absolutely nobody should trust on anything) decide important issues on our behalf aren’t they then just the same as a quorum but controlling millions?
Yes ,similar but at least there is 635 of them . The Australians use referendums on various thing s but they have compulsory voting . The Swiss are another but on important policies they use mandatory referendums requiring say a minimum 75% vote along with a 67% majority Or double majority whereby the public majority is accompanied with a majority for all the cantons
( regions/counties)

So your happy when even less vote for a government, but when the largest vote in a lifetime goes against you, You want to count all those who didn't vote and side them with you, How arrogant! still spitting dummies after all these years, and have you noticed. the biggest gobs are those who don't even live here. Give it a rrst and get over it
No I want 100% compulsory voting & always have done. Those who don't vote should have any benefits they are on withdrawn & those working all tax allowances, whether paye ,self employed or business owners .
Not arrogant it should have been enforced 100 years ago .It only isn't becase it benefits those who are in charge.

biggest gobs are those who don't even live here. Give it a rest and get over it
So I will return .Where does that get you ? Apart from me being even more vociferous actually living there.

With something as important as this everyone should have had a compulsory vote.

As above always. Should be compulsory 100% voting or any rights withdrawn.
For reasons known only to them, After the referendum, leavers did it all the time and are still doing it.
& will be doing it forever. You don't offer a majority vote to anyone on anything when you have no idea of the amount who will be voting. & certainly not on something that has turned in to a disaster in all directions ,compounded now by the chinese.
If you do not know what the answer/result is before you offer it then you don't offer it.First rule of any politician, businessman etc.

How would you explain to two or three year old children what they are voting about?

How do you guarantee that your member of parliament will vote how you want them to?

Oh for goodness sake ... here we go again! :banghead:

You, and others know full well that if this continues not only are you likely to visit Coventry (with no flaming vote) and this thread will likely then get either locked or removed completely, none of which I, and others, probably want to happen.

Brexit happened, we are out of the EU, we are not going back in (for a very long time if ever!), so let just get on with trying to 'live' together in harmony on here and stop all the flipping regurgitating of it all again and again ... its boring and distructive.
