Portsmouth port parking (1 Viewer)

What is the earliest time you can park for next morning saiing. Been told midnight onwards due to terrorism activities in manchester and london. Anyone stayed overnight in last 2 weeks. we are sailing wednesday.

2 weeks ago we arrived just after 10pm and were about 10 in the queue for next day. Quiet night and in the actual port just after 7am

After 10 for us a couple of weeks ago. Before now we have arrived from 7 onwards and they have been happy for us to just stay along the back fence until the gate shut then we have stayed in line overnight ready for morning. This time we weren’t allowed to do this, they have a new notice on the fence saying not before 10 so went away. We had been on Port Solent for a couple of hours so when we were sent away we went to Tesco’s nearby, had a look round store. You can park there for up to 3 hours. We arrived back at the port just after 10 and security were happy for us to park then alongside the fence. 2 others there with us.

Used two weeks ago....sign on fence informs of Permitted Parking from 2200 hrs [10pm].....we were not the first there....OK place to park and much quieter that expected.
