Hi all

Can anyone tell me whats the latest info on parking for the next day ferry at Portsmouth?

Arrangements at home may mean we won't get into Portsmouth until late on the Tuesday evening so can you haul up and park at the port does anyone know? We sail out at 11:45 next morning.

Cheers Dave

We often park in a pub car park nearby.

Thanks, but we may not get to Portsmouth until quite late and I thought it might be a bit cheeky to do that.

Open main site, click on guides in the bar near top and then click on Ferry Port and terminal guide. Select Portsmouth. Tells you there in the parking section.

Don't think they will let you park in the check in lanes for that ferry but they let you park by the fence, we arrived about 11pm and parked with no problem

I wonder if it has changed as that's what it says today?

I haven't looked but usually they will only allow you to park in the lanes after the last ferry has gone and if you are booked on the first one out the following morning.

Are you in Benidorm at all, we will be from the 28th January for a month?

We're not planing to this trip, we are hopefully heading towards Almeria and then onto Malaga to put us in a good location to explore more of Portugal early Spring. But if the weather worsens and the route around Madrid becomes difficult we may have to head further East towards Zaragoza...so you never know!

They don,t like you arriving before 10.00pm. we have stayed numerous times but if you park in the lanes be prepared to get up early as the booths open around 5.00 am

We stayed here on the 9th, before our crossing. Great spot. Our friends were on the same crossing and they parked overnight at the port. They said it was very noisy.

@rich g I know you have mentioned Port Solent. Can you give more explanation. Is there NO restrictions re pulling up for the night? Is there a specific area within the site or what.

We arrived at 8pm for following morning, no problem parked us in check in lane, several ferries left during late evening. No one woke us in morning, they boarded by driving round us and van behind. No problems.
