Portable solar panel external connection point

I have been using a portable panel with the cable dropped through a window but would like to fit a permanent external connection to plug the panel leads into.
I think some members have done this.
If anyone has done this any chance of a picture and link to what they have fitted.
I think my skirts are to flexible to fit it to so I am thinking of going through the side wall of the van.

We had the cable from the LB run back to the Freshwater cupboard [which also has the EHU connection] and on to an Anderson Connector [? re name of connector]; just need to join the LB cable to the Panel and watch the solar production! We also have a 5m extension lead with Anderson connector, so 2m Portable Panel becomes 7m, allowing movement around the M/Home to track the sun

After talking to Ditcha at Drax, I’ve done the same as him.
On the back of my electric hook up box there was a cable knock out to get the cables through.
It all just tucks up out of the way when not used.

The only lockers I have are the gas locker, which you can't run electric cables through, and the cassette locker which it would be extremely difficult to run cables from the MPPT to.

XT60 or Anderson

You need a connector that can take the amps so that limits the choice.

I've got a bunch of XT60s so will use those on mine to run a potential portable panel point.

Don't know if I'll ever get or use portable panels, but at this stage running the wiring is easy and will cost pennies so I figure I might as well.

Worst case scenario it can become an external 12v power supply.
