Can any body recamend a aircon unit thanks dave

Not really answering your question but we have just bought a couple of little usb charged fan coolers from Wilkinson's.

We have a Dometic unit on the motorhome. Effective , yes, but very noisy and very power hungry (240v)

I have a Eurom AC2401. It won't give you frostbite but it works very well, keeping my MH cool in the South of France. It's better if you have another person to help you set it up but I could do it single-handed if necessary. Relatively quiet, I can sleep with it on, has a built in timer with a few settings. I have asked all campers around me if it would create a noise problem, all have been happy for me to run it at night. Check if recommended for your size motorhome but has been perfect for mine.

I take this from my office sometimes...ok when on EHU...and cools plenty in my 7.5 metre. You do need to keep the pipe run short of that heats the room as well. I have it with a botched window kit.

We use a transcool which has been very effective through the recent heatwave. Not a true air conditioner, but an evaporative cooler from Australia. They know a lot about cooling air, and the kit can run all day on 12v from the solar panels and a few litres of water
