Popit Mobile SIM Question

Can anyone tell me if I must be in the UK to activate a Popit SIM? It appears on their website that it is activated via the Internet by entering the ordering email and SIM number. If it must be done in the UK does anyone know of a work around?

I have a feeling that it needs to be in the UK for find it's network first but you could ask on the website chat as they usually come back pretty pronto.

I have a feeling that it needs to be in the UK for find it's network first but you could ask on the website chat as they usually come back pretty pronto.
I have sent messages without a response. I have looked all over their website but I don't see chat except under help telling me that I can contact them there. I even downloaded their app hoping it would be there, without luck. Am I doing something wrong? I see in the order form that you can select foreign countries in the address. Why do you think that would be the case if it had to be activated in the UK.

Re chat I can only guess that it is only available during office hours as you are right it isn’t showing now but I used it a couple of weeks ago. On your other question sorry I can’t help as it would only be guesswork.

I tried during office hours. Perhaps it's down. I'll keep trying.

I'm 6 hours behind you. I just saw your message and went to their website, no chat. Very odd as their business hours are 8:00 to 17:00 and it's presently 13:23 there. I have sent several emails, and used the form on the website, without a reply. However, my wife used Messenger to contact them and she received a reply this morning. I can, in fact, activate the SIM abroad! Yay! From the reviews here it seems that Popit is the best option for me as I will be coming in and out of the EU several times a year, the suspend feature will be great. I'm ordering three SIMs, two for phones and one for a router. I'm having them sent to my daughter in Amsterdam and they'll be waiting for me when I arrive. All is well that ends well. Thanks for your help.

That sounds good as we normally go for 6½ weeks at a time, so combinded with our phones we could get away with just using one month each time.
