Toying with using Condor ferries Poole - St Malo via Jersey route to get to France in June. Has anybody taken a 7.5m motorhome on this route and were there any particular issues? I believe that Condor ferries can sort out the motorhome permit for Jersey even though we'll only be there for a few hours.

I think if you take motorhome to Jersey you have to have somewhere to stay and not allowed to move around. I may be wrong.

I’m a resident in Jersey and you can move around in Motorhome although roads are not Motorhome friendly. It is illegal to sleep in Motorhome anywhere other than booked campsite. I see no advantage of you booking Condor to get to France via Jersey. Very clumsy way to do it and Condor renowned for cancel boats and delays. Jersey people have no choice, only carrier working out of Jersey!

The Jersey web site seems to say as long as you have the motorhome permit you can pass thorugh on the ferry trip without booking a site so hopefully ok

Thanks for info. The route comes up as the cheapest way to get to Brittany region and also gives us a few hours en-route to look around St Helier

Good luck looking around St Helier - your problem is parking the Motorhome whilst doing so.
