The 'Flags' I refer to are those on the top line next to your Funster name.

You know what I mean. There's an envelope and a Bell.

The Envelope signifies 'Conversations' and the Bell shows someones response to a posting.

My 'Rant' involves the Conversation (or PM if you're a long time member)

When someone is sent a 'Conversation' a Flag shows up adjacent to it. Why do peeps ignore that message.

On one such Flag I had to ask a mate of the particular Funster to give him a personal nudge to get an answer from before Christmas and here I am, waiting to hear from another.

I know this one has been on the Forum several times since I sent him an Invite to a Rally but I'm still waiting.

Rant over.

For reasons that might not be apparent, I will not be responding immediately should this Funster respond later than tonight. I am doing something that prevents my viewing the Forum

Why get wound up about such a trivial matter ?
Much more important things in life than a no reply to a conversation

Actually I am with you Emmit ..Butas those that do not read PM's are often the losers it does not worry me that much
And there is always the point it is not impossible the folk simply do not know about the pm system or do not understand it
The one that REALLY gets my goat are those that do not read a thread before jumping in with both feet.. very often with erroneous info having not even read the OP properly !
And believe me, this is not just one or two folk either !!!!

And you usually get an e-mail when someone pm’s you so they ignore that too...?

You obviously have never organised a rally on here, have you.

Only if you've set up emails in notifications. . I haven't.
Emails annoy the hell out of me unless it's important to me.
If email had never been invented I wouldn't expect a letter in the post from Jim.

Correct
I think your lack of reply gives you your answer

So, Why would someone ask to go on a rally (and ask subsequently to go on other rallies) and then ignore a Conversation inviting them.

What's a bloke to do. Impose a time limit for folks to respond to a question like that.
Hardly a friendly act that this Forum subscribes to.

Some people rarely click on them. There are some people with over 1000 notifications showing, ( likes and stuff) but they've never looked at them, which would reset them :D

Software upgrade required
Make them flash once they get over 5
Make them take over the screen at 10
Make no progress possible at 15

Sorry, what’s this thread about ......

Amazing what upsets some people, and others never even think of

Ever been invited to a party and not read the invite?
It's on the mantlepiece, unopened, You know the envelope is addressed to you
but for some reason you don't want to look inside.

Have a look at the opening post. It explains my frustration.

I've notifications turned off. Email, our main one is another one that I rarely look at  neither does the wife. It's only used for official stuff know one has any interest in.

I sympathise with Emmit, having organised a number of rallies in the past. It's frustrating offering a space at a rally and not getting an answer, knowing that there are others waiting. Perhaps include in the message you only have a limited number of days to reply before offering the space to the next one on the list.

Emails are rubbish way of contacting anyone, you never know if they have been received or not, if I can't ring someone I don't bother with them.

That's why I didn't Email them.
I sent a Conversation on here. It's not like Emails where you don't know whether the message is genuine.
This is a message from one Funster to another on a closed forum

Why don't you just put it on here again with a link to him , he will realise who you mean then because maybe he hasn't a clue it's him you are talking about.
