Does anyone have any tip for visiting these, it seems like there are two entrances and a huge site so unlikely to see it all. But which entrance is best for a day trip ?
Thanks

We went a couple of years ago. Certainly a must see place.
Not sure it makes much difference which entrance you use, there are plenty of trails to follow. There is a website, just google plitvice lakes, which explains all about the site which I wish I had read before I visited...worth having a look! Noticed there is a Marathon on this weekend so might be best to avoid.
Hope you enjoy as much as we did

We camped at the big site Korana, they have a free bus ar 9 am to the park they are big coaches so don't worry about getting left behind.
These go to entrance 1. You can get picked up from entrance 2 and 1 at 5pm
We walked route C and got to entrance 2 by 3pm.
The camp site has variable Wi-Fi closer to reception seemed to be best if that your thing.

We did a similar thing. It was an ACSI site, bus at 9am to one entrance then an internal 'train' to the top of the lakes, ( the best bit), followed by a leisurely walk back and an internal boat ride to the other entrance to get the bus back. Well worth making a day of it, though in the busy season even though it is huge, it must be packed with queues at the pinch points.. whatever it will be well worth it.

Camp Bear, Selište Drežničko 52, 47245 Rakovica.
Is quite a small family run site, close to the Lakes. The hospitality is excellent, can't say the same for the locally distilled grog, but it breaks the ice. Fresh bread van on site every morning. Decent facilities. Nice people.
