Can someone please explain the different MH types - A class, C class, PVC, etc.

Always reading it on the forum but don’t really know what they are.

Thanks

Panel Van Conversion - Take a standard builders van, cut holes in it for windows/roof lights, fit out the interior with goodies.

A Class. Take bare chassis/engine, build a home on top.

Coach built. Take chassis/engine/cab, piggyback home on top

C Class. ??? Dunno!

Broadly speaking :-)

C class is an American term for a coachbuilt motorhome.

B class is a model derivative usually of an A class as above. As in Hymer B544 and the like

There you go. n words pictures and a video. That should help yy

Thanks all. Now it’s clear. We have a C class.

You are forgetting Pop Top....:)

I didn’t forget, you just didn’t read it..

Campervans, Day-Vans, Micro Vans
Smaller panel van conversions don’t normally have toilets. They may have rising roofs or pop-top which are really only good for summer camping.

Thanks for asking the question , it's clarified a couple of things for me.
thanks @Jim too

A class - for people who want to feel superior, but actually look like Noddy (not Holder) driving round in a goldfish bowl
C class/Coachbuilt - for people who don't fall for the premium an A class will cost and don't want to look like Noddy on Tour
PVC/Campervan - for people who are vertically challenged and enjoy sharing their delightful "swoosh-bang" every time they go in and out.

[Revised version]

A Class - for people who want to drive in Alps/Pyrenees and see the whole mountains, not the overcab.

C Class - for those who drove vans for a living and want their comfort zone in the cab

PVC - for those who like the 'outdoor life' by just opening up one wall of their camper. And/or too mean or inconsiderate to fit soft-close door latches.
