Hi,

I don't, but I think it would be a great Idea for Jim to have some made up with Motorhomefun on them, I don't know he may have already got some its got to be worth following up as it would help the with the finances of the site

just a suggestion

Don't know if they still do them as I don't have the mag any more, but there used to be a regular add in MMM for them.

Failing all the above, you can get them from Caravan Club sites.

7 Years after 5 years with caravan.
We went to our local sign making firm and he made a sign on a yellow plastic board (same material as a car number plate but about 200mm or so square) which read "This pitch is reserved for ....(our registration number)". Charged me £10.

Screwed it to a small spike. Bingo.

So it can actually be made to read whatever you want.

"This space is reserved for Little Red Riding Hood and her two hungry wolves"

"Pitch taken by a family with five loud, rude and unruly children"

Those should guarantee you a bit of breathing space, but maybe a few pertinent questions from the warden / owner.

get one from someone elses pitch 'cos thats what will happen to yours.

4 tent pegs and a roll of red/white striped plastic tape.....looks like the warden has cordoned off the pitch for some reason and folks will bypass it.:thumb:

Got mine from the Caravan Club they sell them on site, dark green background with white lettering so it matches CC site signage.

or you could be a cheap skate and make your own.

we've got an A4 sheet - watermarked photo of van, printed pitch reserved in english / french / german on it - laminate it - stick it on a spike / tie it electric bollard if you've got your own
easy peasy
or send me a photo of your van and a nice crispy £20 - £40 for an RV [cos they're bigga :winky:]

Hi
Not had much luck with pitch signs. Picked up one via magazine looked nice as a motorhome shape with reg number on, but had a thin plastic type spike.

First time returned to find it in the hedge -
blown away in the wind so replaced the spike with a metal spike

Second time - ground was hardcore and could not get the spike in the ground

Third time - found it underneath the caravan that had reversed over the sign in order to park on 'my' pitch

Then I realised that most sites the warden uses a traffic type cone to indicate pitch not in use. So now carry a traffic cone and place that on the pitch never had a problem since :roflmto: (and yes I did buy one off a local company ::bigsmile:)

The original pitch sign now has a loop of string attached and is hooked over the electrical hook up post or spiked into the ground at the back of the pitch.

Did see one campervan using the small football training cones (packs of 4 or 5 from tescos) although lightweight he had drilled two holes in the base and spiked them down.
