Be grateful for your experience:

I have gaslow refillable. I have the external gaslow lines that fit into the external filler. Also I believe the various connections.
Does anyone have experience of full time gas connection eg as possible in grubhof?
How does that work with your in situ canisters? Do you turn off at bottle or do you empty yours first etc.

€7 a day gas has to be cheaper than running heating on EHU. - I like to be warm.

Grubhof is a campsite in Austria according to Google. :) If they offer gas on their pitches it will be low pressure gas I think so it could probably be connected to your MH using an external BBQ point. Using suitable hose and adaptors of course. Perhaps these can be rented from the site? :)

I have the hoses and connectors. Grubhof, Fieberbrunn and I think Petneu all have piped gas. Just not sure how it goes with ones own bottles. I have external Gaslow filler but no BBQ point.

Probably being stupid... Isn't piped gas natural gas and bottled gas lpg? So the jets on your gas appliances will be for lpg. ?‍♂️

Need One of these, as long as one gaslow tank is empty you can feed in through filler

We are off shortly and only have 3amp electric, it’s quite cheap against the 10amp we usually have but left it too late to book, the site we visit has bottles to rent so will place one outside van and pipe through the gaslow filler, at about 35 euro a bottle cheaper than ehu

That is only suitable when your connecting to a high pressure supply. If the site pitches only have low pressure (which I suspect they will be) then you cannot feed gas into your filler point!

I suspect the original purpose of the site gas supply would be for low pressure gas BBQ/Grills etc, and not for supplying the actual motorhome.

Sites like grubhof ask at check in if you want gas attached.
this is definitely gas to mh for heating. €7 per day beats EHU costs of around €110 per week.
my question is whether I should plan to arrive with one cylinder empty. - counter intuitive as I usually try to ensure full gas prior to each weeks camp.

How long you staying? We take 2x 6kg calor propane as back up to 2x 11kg gaslow more than enough for 10-12 days on full heating and showers in van

Brochure confirms gas to replace carrying bottles perhaps an email to the site to ask how to connect, email link on their website

Sounds very expensive €7 will buy about 5kg of LPG at current Austrian prices.

A couple of points

First I doubt whether 2 gaslow bottles plus 2 calor propane is strictly legal and acceptable by insurance. Pretty sure only 2 bottles alowed
Second - LPG from pump may be cheaper but once on site I don’t want to move just to get gas.

A couple of points?
Nothing in insurance policy that says only two bottles allowed
if you want to hook-up to our gas connection we have all the necessary parts therefore.
The gas consumption is €7 per day, the material rental €1 per day and we charge €5 once for making the connection.
We hope this information helps and look forward to meeting you
