Pioneer infotainment system (fiat Ducato)

We have the Pioneer AVIC-F980xxx info unit in our Carthago C tourer on a Fiat Ducato. The MH was new in 2018 and we purchased it in Dec 2021.

Up unitl recently, I could use the Sat Nav function, but last week all the options to enter addresses are greyed out. It still shows the map and where we are, but I can not longer set a new route. Do these require subscriptions? I can't find any info on the unit or anything about registering/subscribing.

Also, I never actually followed the Sat Nav as I found it's route suggestions 'interesting' to say the least, but I am curious wether it naviates with relevance to the vehicle (weight,size) as it has a profile of Carthago but I can't find any details on the profile about the sizet/weight. We do want a Sat Nav that navigates regarding to the vehicles size , so we are considering he Garmin Camper, but don't want to spend the money if we already have one.

One interesting thing about the Pioneer unit, is that we can put a DVD in it and it plays it on the MH integrated TV (although only in black and white)

So, after reading a non related thread on here, I have found an answer to one of my questions.

Now I don't know the exact sequence, but it appears that if the Pioneer Unit is switched on by turning the vehicle engine on, the Sat Nav does not work correctly (cannot enter a new Address). Yeterday, I turned the Pioneer unit on by turning on the Media circuit on in the MH and low and behold all the Sat Nav funtions are available. This was without turning the vehicle on. I'll do a bit more testing next tie I take the van out.

Just need to find out if the Pioneer Sat Nav does navigate in relation to size and weight of the vehicle. It does have vehicle profiles and mine has a Carthago profile (and a lorry one) but I can't see any details associated with these profiles.
