Weinsberg Outlaw
Hello

So first post.

I have a Weinsberg Carabus MEG630 Outlaw which had the Pioneer Avic Evo 1 fitted during the build.

The unit is fine, but the speakers in the Fiat Ducato are terrible so I have started to upgrade, doing the door speakers with Alpine upgraded units and adding some sound deadening to the front sections of the outer door skins.

I have also bought the full Alpine Ensemble system of dash top speakers, subwoofer that sits below the cup holder and the small Alpine amp to power the sub. I have fitted the dash top speakers, but have now started fitting the sub and amp.

Question is how do I remove the Pioneer Avic Evo 1 head uint slightly as I need to get at the plugs at the back. Does the facia unclip off and reveal screws below?

Any help much appreciated as I do not want to break the surround at all.

Thanks a lot

Lee

The front face unclips from the the bottom complete with the knobs.
There are four torque screws holding the unit in.
There is not much room for it in a Ducato. Be very careful when refitting it in its hole that you don't trap any cables.

I needed to remove my unit and this info was correct, it does hing from the bottom. However levering from the very bottom as I tried didn’t work. Put a thin plastic lever at the top of the lower strip between the screen and the lower trim, it tight and this worked for me. Good luck, take care.

HI Stealaway.
I've just joined the forum because your advice is all that I could find anywhere. I don't know if my setup is any different (Ducato 290,2019) but I released the bottom of the fascia easily with plastic trim levers because there doesn't seem to be anything holding it in place. However, the top is another matter. Are there holding clips on the top/side edges? I don't want to be too brutal because it's a one off mistake!

I think it lifts upwards of a lip but it's been awhile since I took it off. Good luck
