Hi guys has anyone got any thoughts on these vans looking at the new evidence p740fc which I think is based on the p740 -- do they have any serious faults or are they like any other vans just annoying ones , the layout suits us also the price just have to check out the payload etc as the p740 says it is 630 but the evidence is 575 ,. Thanks in advance.

Having owned a Lunar, Adria and Mobilvetta there is no comparison with the quality of build of the Pilote.

Hi pete how do you mean they are good or the ones that you had were better???

Owned G740C and only changed it as needed to downsize.

In the three years we owned it we toured Europe for six months for each of the first two years then lived in it full time for the third year when we were between houses.

No faults whatsoever in the three years and the build quality was really good. Ours was a 2016 model and I understand that Pilote have made improvements since then.

As you can probably gather I'm a fan and would certainly recommend.

We have just bought a 2016 P740 and it seems well put together with some nice touches.

Good quality vans from the same stable at Le Voyager and Frankia.

I have a new G741 , 2 weeks old , replacing a deathless trend that had serious comformattic gearbox problems, the quality of equipment & Finnish is far
better than the deathless , in think all new MH’S are poorly put together
BUT I'm anal about quality , That said I’m over the moon with the pilote
as expected a few minor adjustments but so far so good

We downsized to a 650 and no regrets at all, one or two horror stories over the wireless controls but patience is all that is required! It can be a little slow at times but will get fresh software when in for service Build quality is excellent, as stated above from the Frankia and Le Voyager stable. If you ask at the dealership you can get the chassis upgraded (if your licence covers you to drive) for more payload. Ours did it for free (DVLA buggered us about!)

Hi POH, have just re read my post of last night, to clarify the build quality of the Pilote is far superior to the other vans I have mentioned. You can almost believe that their vans are designed by people who actually use a motorhome which in my experience is rare.

We have a Pilote P716 and we are really pleased with it.
Now on the look out for an A Class and Pilote brand will be at the top of the list!

I have owned a 2016 G600l for the last eighteen months. The build quality is as good as my previous two Hymers although things feel slightly flimsier, lots of bling which looks slightly out of place when we are pretending to be roughing it :whistle2: :whistle2:

Took delivery of our Pilote p700gj in March 19 and been very pleased with it, just a couple of very minor things dealt with quickly by the dealer. The continental "back to front switches" and control panel took a bit of getting used to but that's a minor problem.

we bought our Pilote Galaxy 270 (3750kg /double floor) over six years ago and have travelled "all" over eu from nordkapp to greece. We find it an absolutely reliable and well built.
After 55k miles we would not buy anything else.

Our G270 is our third van after a Talbot Camelot and a Swift Sundance 500, I realise they were older and chesper vans but am impressed at how well the van has been put together. After twenty years the only faults are signs of a roof leak caused by someone fitting a roofbox which was not sealed down properly, and some water damage under the shower tray at the resr where a water pipe T junction leaked, not easy to find as under the sink unit between the double floor. Otherwise all the electrics still works and is fitted neatly, the structure is solid with metal framework to support the double floor. There was some corrosion to the front if the van but that is down to Peugeot, not Pilote.
