Picked up my new bike today. (1 Viewer)

The 2 year warranty was about to run out soon so I decided I didn’t want to keep the 790 beyond that, KTM had revamped the 1290 SDR so I plumped first that after reading all the rave reviews and watching loads of YouTube videos. They weren’t wrong, it’s a belter of a bike, ever at restricted running in mode. Did 30 miles when we got to the Bicester area this afternoon.

Usually clutch it in bud but the stealer insisted in helping me without the engine running.

Enjoy. A 1290 engine in an unfaired bike needs gorilla arms . I find KTM bike design a bit marmite but I do like the 790 adventure. Yours looks a sensible physical size for seat height.

I'am well within the vans limit, I had it weighed fully loaded with the 790 so adding another 20kg is no problem.

Did you weigh individual axles? Cis that is a very loooong overhang...

Yes I did.

I'm glad, whilst pulling wheelies on the KTM is compulsory (where safe to do so, obviously) pulling wheelies in the moho is generally a no-no
