We "did" the Rockies about ten years ago by coach and Rocky Mountaineer, wonderful holiday but the only bear we saw was disappearing into the woods by the railway line as we left Jasper. We had to go up Grouse Mountain to see grizzlies.

Reminds me of our first ever RV trip in Colorado. We felt we were the only ones in the world at the time. Fantastic scenery, only saw rangers, and we were hooked by the life style. We have had 3 motorhomes since.

We were there 2 weeks ago, could be the same bear! Wish we'd been in an RV, so envious of those we saw parked up in the middle of all that beauty.
