Hi all ,,,, pick up new Elddis 155 in a couple of months on a Peugeot Boxer,

Just starting to look at insurance for the van and one of the options is breakdown cover , but thinking do not need it as we will get Peugeot breakdown cover for the first 12 months.

My question is (looked through Peugeot website for the answer but can not find it) does the Peugeot breakdown cover work on the continent , does it transfer back to England if it can not be quickly repaired as we are in Spain and France end of March for a few months.

I know I'll get a accurate answer from Peugeot if I contact them direct but just thought someone on here would know

Thanks Paul

i donā€™t know about Peugeot but if they are anything like fiat assist ( RAC ) you will need all the help you can get , fiat repatriation is only Ā£1000 which goes nowhere if in France , RAC were like a third world recovery

as above
Due to the size of our Rienza some breakdown companies would only offer roadside assistance but not recovery. Itā€™s not a huge motorhome being based on a Transit 300 chassis.
Adrian Flux found us UK and European cover via the AA at a reasonable price allowing for the size of the motorhome. They said they may have to contract the recovery to an outside company. We did this when I worked for them.

Green Flag are reasonably priced.
Circa Ā£50 per annum. I used them the other week when My Ford Transit Radiator turned in to a waterfall on the way home.
I dumped the AA after 5 years as a SILVER AA MEMBER as they wouldn't tow Me off a CL campsite in My 2800KGS Classic 'STUCK' Hymer as they said that I was OFF Road.
The AA wanted to charge Me Ā£100+ to send a 4X4 recovery '''specialist''' recovery vehicle.
The owner of the CL site eventually towed Me off the campsite with His 4X4 VW Tiguan.
Note the AA commercial shows an ICE CREAM VAN being towed off a BEACH !
GreenFlag have a FREE phone App that pin points where you are if you breakdown.
