Peugeot rear view mirror (1 Viewer)

I knocked off the rear view mirror on our old MH with my elbow and never replaced it, no point didn't have a camera fitted. Just done the very same thing to our new 2016 Peugeot MH which does have a camera and the screen is mounted on the mirror.
Does anyone know how to replace it, there is a hexagonal bolt on the windscreen but I fail to see how the two fit together and I don't want to force anything.
Someone else must have wild elbows like me, I can't be the only one !

A photo might be useful although interior mirrors are designed to 'break' off their mountings if struck - which usually means a similar amount of force is needed to replace them.

Maybe there's still something on the floor of the cab that goes between the hex bolt and the bit in your hand?? :))

on mine you just hold the unit vertical over the mount then turn it 90 degrees to the right , it may be the same. mine is a boxer also.

Thanks for those. Have attached 2 pics, I think perhaps smiffy you might have the answer, turn to right seems like it might work, will try when the big man turns on more light this morning !

Brilliant, smiffy50200. I had exactly the same problem and couldn't see how to re-fix the mirror until I read your post - thanks very much for the advice

All the gear, and no idea!
Thanks for that, I knocked mine off a few weeks ago and I put mine back via BFI (Brute Force and Ignorance) I thought it just snapped back on:eek::eek::eek:.

I found this forum after a google search, having knocked my mirror off. Couldn’t see any way to re-fit it, pushing it back on wasn’t working. Thanks for the info, still helping people Year’s later
