Peugeot boxer
Hi all. Novice with my new camper - it's a bit bigger than my previous old VW transporter so am finding my way through. Its a 2003 Peugeot boxer, and the "retractable " rear step does not seem to retract! Any suggestions? I have trouble enough reversing without adding an extra invisible several inches of hard metal ....! I know I'm a numpty...don't need anyone to tell me that!...just appreciate any suggestions!!

Manual or electric?
Can you put your multimeter in step motor connection and see if 12V getting that far?
If not will be fuse or seized motor(which then blows fuse).

Welcome! We were all numpties once (many still are ;) ).
Has it ever retracted whilst in your possession?
It'll be either a mechanical problem (rusted/seized linkages) or electrical (fuse blown/bad connections).
There isn't a quick answer and you'll have to do some investigating visually for seized linkage or electrically with a meter to check if there's power to it.
