peugeot boxer mh sliding door problem

In the last few days the side sliding door opens from the outside but not from the inside almost feels like its still lockrd from the inside

Any one had this problem ?

I've recently had the handles off the side door so I could fit a security plate. After re-fitting, I had the same issue. There's a cable (like a bicycle brake cable) that goes from the inside handle to the outside. It's the outside handle that actually unlatches the door. If the linking cable at either end has popped out of it's lever arm, it stops working.

I find the judicious use of a knee inside to give a little push out whilst pulling the inside handle helps .

A lot of people have added an extra handle inside to aid opening and closing.
