Again not quite true, as there are enough tv programmes showing the use of both for catching criminals and APNR cameras are used extensively for tracking serious crime gangs and providing the evidence to lock them away.

True but there are also plenty that record nothing, nor are connected to any type of recording device others where no one watches them & overwrite .

The anpr cameras don’t help when a stolen motorhome’s number plates are changed within a mile from home, as happened to a friend of mine a couple of weeks ago.
