Hi there. We are thinking of going to this in April but wondered if there is anywhere within easy walking distance to the showground where we can exercise our dog off lead. Malvern was so well set up with walks surrounding the showground but Peterborough looks surrounded by housing. A recreation field would do.

    Many thanks

Right over the back of the show ground there is usually a big empty field..

I believe they have to be on lead throughout the showground and that just wont do for him. He is a 3yo collie cross and has lots of energy yo burn off

Try a working cocker !! Although officially all dogs must be on a lead we found a couple of places to exercise dogs without any issue at all

Thanks Jaws. That is good to know. We can't imagine 4 nights with him not getting a proper run. Plus he is reluctant to go to the loo on lead.
We will get booked up and hopefully still space on funsters field

If you go out of the main show entrance, cross over the roundabout (past hotel on left) and turn left at next roundabout into a small business park, there is a footpath into woods that leads you to the entire expanse of Nene Park/Ferry Meadows. That's where we walk our energetic collie. :)

We have two big German Shepherds that need lots of exercise. I find the perfect place to exercise them is on the motorhome FACTS rally field

Guaranteed to be a big, open, empty space with no one around! :ROFLMAO:

    Perfect ;)
