Hi all, we're planning to winter in Spain for 3 months next year but current dog insurance with M&S only covers for up to 60 days abroad at any one trip.
Would appreciate advice on how others have overcome this please.

Just rang LVE and they said there is no time limit for trips abroad.

Thanks for info, ours doesn't cover abroad, Purely Pets, can't swap Boston now, due to her epilepsy, but will look at changing Indi over as she's 6, Biskit prob too old to swap at 11

Ouch! It isn't cheap. I've just had a quote for our mutt, £123 for the Essentials cover and £203 for the Premium. Nevertheless I've gone ahead with the essentials, you can also pay monthly (£10 a month approx) and there is no extra charge for doing this - and you can cancel at any time. There may be cheaper companies but Tesco for example have a trip limit of just one month which isn't much use for us.

Of course quotes for your dog will be different I suspect, as with all insurance quotes.

I pay 22 a month for 6 month old female chihuahua.

ASDA Pet Insurance. One of their options will cover what you want and it's not too extortionate. (Our Vet is quite happy with it too)

We are with john lewis.. Just over 25 a month.. I don't know what the trip limit is though as we will only do short trips..
