Anyone with any experience of Red Pennant/Caravan club's personal cover.
Seems extremely reasonable with regard to existing conditions, compared to some of the prices charged by other firms......providing of course you can answer their questions honestly ?

I have used it in three recent trips and the eight health questions are very straightforward. I like it because it avoids a rigmarole about my complicated but ultimately pretty benign medical history. However mercifully I have not needed to make a claim.

We were insured with them last year and SWMBO was unable through illness to go on our planned sailing holiday to Turkey. We had to cancel everything. Caravan Club insurance was very good and paid up in full minus the excess. Our excess was £50 so I assumed we would just have the £50 deducted but it is PER PERSON on the policy so got stung for £100.

Well in the end decided not to go down that route, found the questions very ambiguous and on looking further into it found that we would not have been covered even though we had answered all questions fully.
Thanks for your replies.

We have used Red Pennant for YEARS simply because they are cheaper than everyone else

an example was 2 years ago we rang round (As usual) the quotes were horrible for 21 nights
RAC wanted £380+
others up to £700
Red Pennant £158

Last year for 50 nights Red Pennant £162

The problem is they only cover multitrip for a max of 66 days although the single trip covers 94
Cost for this year multitrip is £307
and single trip for 94 nights is £458

and Tesco wanted £796 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(n)

Our problem is my health issues which although stable can have a potential to blow up seriously
