Personal travel insurance - C&CC (1 Viewer)

We have been trying to arrange Personal Travel Insurance which we usually get from the C&CC.

Their website has no link to travel insurance and it is not possible to speak to them on the ‘phone for anything other than site bookings. I sent them an e-mail asking for advice on how to proceed.

This is their reply, received today.......




Good Morning,

Thank you for contacting us. We apologise for the delay in replying, we have been dealing with large numbers of emails and requests as a much reduced team working from home.

Unfortunately we are currently unable to take any new insurance bookings at present, these cannot be booked online and our service centre is not yet open for European Travel Services - so we cannot process your request at the moment. We are unable to call you as my colleagues in sales are all making outbound calls to contact our members with bookings coming up in July and August in departure date order.

We are very sorry not to be able to help you with this at the moment, and hope that you understand the situation.

Yes, thanks. I had seen that after we made the initial enquiry.

We will wait to see if the FCO make a further announcement this week before looking again.

We are looking for annual, multi-trip, maximum 60 days for 2 x 70yrs old.

Without wishing to ask a lady to reveal her age, does that sound doable from your experience with SAGA?

C&CC we’re in the slightest bit interested when we tried to claim for being repatriated from Morocco, wouldn’t even send a claim form and links to their underwriters didn’t work either, utter crap imho

C&CC use Intana who wriggled out of paying for FCO advice on repatriation from Morocco due to Covid, claiming it was a 'Peril' based event - bastards wont get any more of my business ever.
