Pershore Rally- Quiz question answers

Well,

Here we are at Pershore Plum Rally enjoying the weather, (whatever it throws at us.)

We thought, as a result of not being able to attend the actual festivities surrounding the now cancelled
Festival, we would set those Funsters who do not live at 'The Pointy End' of the country, a Quiz,

"What do you know about Cornwall."

I'm not going to 'Name Names' but here is a selection of the 'Better'? answers.

Question; "What is a Cornish Split?"

Answer; "A very painful exercise" Eh?
(The real answer is a sweet bread bun filled with cream and jam.)



Question; "Mary Yellan was 23yrs old and lived on a farm in Helford. Who is she?"

Answer; "She was the oldest daughter of The Waltons? ie, Good Night, Mary Ellen"

Same Question;
Answer; "The World's oldest sheep."

The real answer is the main character in the book 'Jamaica Inn'

I could go on but I'm not that cruel, Honest!

We had such a laugh googling the answers afterwards. We were very ashamed of our lack of knowledge especially as we’re from Somerset but now live in Dorset!
