We are set up amongst the olive trees with the sea and beach on 3 sides at Taverna di Lulu about 20 km north of Preveza, Greece, this is not a campsite but it has free water and cassette emptying facilities, no charge for staying here but you are expected to have some meals in the Taverna in way of payment so it is a win win situation as Jan does not have to cook , there are toilets and shower here but we prefer to use our own.
Final right hand turn into site is steep and tight and down hill and we grounded our van on the rear right hand corner and had to place rocks under the wheels to get the clearance, we are staying here a few more days and have decided to leave the scooter out of the garage and put it back in when we have got out onto the main road to lighten the load on the back hopeful this will work. But providing we do get out undamaged it will have been well worth it as only 7 other vans here and very quite and peaceful except for the cicadas in the trees but they stop at night.

Mighty jealous.

We had the best holiday of our lives there 30 years ago, flew into Prevesa ( that was pretty grim, hot and horrible ) then did two weeks sailing in a 28 footer from Levkas. Two young daughters and two young(ish) adults, so can never be repeated.

I remember long walks up steep hills from Levkas, abandoned village and snakes.

I remember HOT.

I remember Onassis Island with the top blown off so he could land his chopper. His staff quarters were the size of a decent hotel. We did land there, very quickly and got away without being shot.

Hot,but as we are on a headland we are getting a constant breeze and plenty of shade from the olive trees.

We have flown to Preveza for the last 12 years on our way to Meganisi via Lefkada by ferry. We love it but would like to travel to mainland Greece on the MH :)

Looks interesting is there any more info? We stayed at Elena's beach site ( just a few clicks south of Igoumenitsa ferry port) last year which we would recommend, on the beach, plenty of shade, English spoken and a pleasant little bar/restaurant.

Here is a link. http://www.campingelena.gr/index.html
