Hi all,

Following on from our ask re Cambrils (thanks to all, we've had a fab three days at " Turn the light off and lock up before you leave" at Camping Joan.

Next stop, not quite true, we might do some 'wilding' on the Ebro delta, is Peniscola.
We've walked around Eden a couple of time when we were wanna be motorhomers but we've not been to Vizmar.
Any comments please. I note that Vizmar is back off the coast. Is the cycle ride to the front a no no to the other half who is genuinely not into cycling where there is traffic about.
Is the disparity in price (60€ for a week as aginst €102 at Eden) worth it.

All comments gratefully received.

Stayed at the eden and found it good.Would go back again. Only drawback when we were there was access. Some tight corners and low overhanging trees made it bit difficult. Convenient for town. Easy cycle access. Stayed in the camp site on right. Dont know whether other side the same.

Hi
Stayed at vizmar in september because eden was full fortunately it was for one night only. Used Eden a few times and for us it is definitley much better
Alan

We stayed on Vizmar earlier in the year, the camperstop side was full of Germans taking three spaces and the camping area had a lot of low trees and the lady said we would not get through (she might have been right) so she opened another gate to some spots with the trees pruned higher and we got in OK. Nice enough for a few nights but a bit out of the action, the cycle ride to the town was mostly on cycle paths so no fighting with the traffic. not been to Eden.

We stayed at Camping Eden in early June this year - on the left side where the swimming pool is - it was very nice and we will happily visit again. My wife is also a bit wary on a bike, but it was fine, proper bike paths in both directions on the sea front. Used ACSI at 16E per night - along with all the Dutch and French motorhomers - well worth it.

I don't know if its the same place but spent a few days at a "Stop and Go" campsite (typical glorified car park type Spanish site) but it was ok. Looks like they had many campers there all winter. Bar, pool, laundry, showers, toilets, social events, etc. It was, last year, €6/night (+ €3 for leccy) with a free night after about a week. It was a short walk to the beach but a bit longer to the Aldi/Lidl (went on my bike).

There are two Stop and Go almost next to each other, I stayed at the one furthest inland. Lots of signposts to them both.

Where the heck is camping Eden??? We went round the roundabout then down the front and could not find! We are at camping Ferrer nice and quite, one night maybe, maybe another first time at Peniscola ...where next?

We stayed at Eden a few weeks ago and weren't all that keen. Parts of it looked a bit shanty town-ish. The restaurant was closed for refurb.

We would have chosen the nearby Stop and Go mentioned by @BwB think it was called Volta. But then you don't get full services.

Its up a left turn one block back from the beach about three quarters of a mile further on than the roundabout. Lovely site, excellent restaurant,,swimming pool and toilets. BUSBY.

Eden for us is far too regimented.
Vizmar is our choice every time. Less "clinical".

Well two nights at Camping Ferrer and we have decided to stay longer, Lovely owners really friendly, Very clean in the shower blocks and toilets. Lots of Friendly people on the site. Cafe Bar on site and a swimming pool for summer, Lots of space, Not noisy and only 5 mins walk to the old city. Supermarket around the corner and a Chinese Arkwright s shop as I call them 2 mins walk for the things that you forget to bring.. Pegs ! Hammer, Saw to keep my OH occupied ( are all husbands like this when away on holiday, Like a cat on a hot tin roof) trying to find something to do! he gets so bored and you can only walk the dog so many miles in the baking sun!

We had trouble finding it a good few years ago.....at the time we had an 8.5 m Frankia and after three drives up and down the seafront we stopped and asked a policeman who was parked up....no problem turn around and follow me ....he took us right up to reception ...the right hand side was quite tight for us especially as some German had parked his car trailer right on the corner ....we had to go back to reception to say we couldn't get through to our pitch......someone came from reception found said German and gave him a right rollicking and made him move it onto his pitch ...to say he was not amused was an understatement.....it left him nowhere to sit out in the sun so he plonked his chairs right in the middle of the road and huffed and puffed every time someone wanted to get passed......e only stayed 2 nights so he probably moved the trailer back after we left.

arrived at camping eden yesterday but after looking around decided it was to to tight for our van as it is over 3 mtrs tall and eden has lots of trees coudnt do with the stress. so moved to benicarlo instead.

Didn't like Vizmar so we decamped to Los Pinos where we had stayed before, had tried to get into Eden but as has been said lots of low trees.

Eden. Nice site, excellent position for cycling.

We have stayed on both sites.

Last year stayed at Los pinos only 1 mile from the beach, Very good site stayed 67 days 9 euros a night.

They are a very nice family, nice showers and loo with Supermarket 1/2 mile away.
