Hi All
Going to tour around Pembrokeshire Coast this week.Does anyone have any wild camping areas or 5 siters they can recommend.

Dave

have you checked out the moonfruit website? its run by a member on here i understand.

Maybe stick to CL’s and CS’s. Wildcamping in Wales could give you major hassle and fines.
The Pembrokeshire coast is beautiful,so you will enjoy it.

I am sure more than a few people do wild camp in Wales without too many issues ...... As always, limit your stay, make sure there are no signs stating that you cant stay over, do your bit for the environment, clean up and try to leave the area better than it was before you got there, even if it isnt any of your own rubbish ....

More than a few people drive over the alcohol limit without too many issues.

More than a few people drive over the speed limit without too many issues.

If it is illegal to wildcamp in Wales, why do you encourage it? Bizarre!

If it is not illegal, then I entirely agree with you.

i hardly think staying overnight somewhere compares with drink driving or speeding ..... i'm not sure wild camping ever killed an innocent person, but if you think it should be punishable by public flogging, then of course youre entitled to have that view, however as it is only a civil offence and not a criminal offence i doubt flogging would be the punishment ...

The first opportunity i get I am now going to wild camp in Wales, just for the fun of it .........

I live and wild camp in Pembrokeshire all the time but not this year. The problem this year is the influx of motorhomes into the area. Pembrokeshire CC need to engage and set up Aires rather than fining people. I have passed on my views.

I resent paying a fortune to park in a boggy field with no facilities, often miles from the nearest town. Unfortunately, I have to do that on occasions this year because of the ill feeling towards motorhomers.

I believe change is on its way though. Fingers crossed.

We are using CLs in West Pembrokeshire right now. Some nice ones dotted around but expect to use your levels all the time. Don’t leave home without them.

Thanks for all your replies.I think wild camping will be out.Why can we not be like Europe with respect to facilitating motorhomes.Everybody wins! It looks like cls for us.

Deffo clamped down I know 2 who got a fine ,
I bet they were just ordinary tax paying or retired. If they were travellers would they have been moved on or issued with an immediate penalty notice? It frustrates me at times when it appears that some cultures appear to be treated differently. Of course may be wrong but happy to be proved so.
