Good morning, everyone!

I’m Lee, and I’m here because of a recent stroke of good luck! My wife and I were planning to get our first Motorhome in a few years’ time, once the kids are off to Uni and not around to spoil our fun. ;)

But our timeline has been moved up a bit because on Thursday I won one in a raffle (Best £16 I ever spent!) It’s a 3 year-old, beautiful condition, 7-berther; since then I’ve been reading up on everything, trying to get the hang of all the terms and working out what questions I need to ask, because until you deep dive, you don’t know enough about what you don’t know to find out what it is you don’t know. You know?

I’ve had a brief wander around this forum, and it seems like a great place! Everyone seems very knowledgeable and friendly (except for that one person... they know who they are!)

Aaaaaanyway. Hi!

Congratulations on your win .. very nice.

One thing to check is your driving licence .. I assume if 7 berth the van is over 3500Kg mgw so you will have to have C1 catagory to cover the weight.

No, I checked. It’s under 3500Kg, so I’m covered. Honestly, there is so much to learn about these things! It’ll take some time, but I’ll get there.

Lucky you, enjoy.

It may be a 7 berth but you will not be able to carry 7 people due to payload restrictions, have a look at Jim's video.

Hope your not planning to use it as a 7 berth as I think you will have very little payload with 7 people in it even if it’s legal to carry 7 people. But a motorhome for £16 congratulations and welcome if you know which motorhome it is post on here and someone will be able to help with anything you want to know

I was watching that draw live hoping to win but hey good luck and enjoy your van.

I’ll have to keep an eye out for another to be listed in the weekly draw!
