I had a recent conversation with a man who said he didn't like the polish people
    I had that was racist
He then replied I dislike everyone Elsa in equal measure.
    So no problem then.

Weird but it made me think

    My conclusion Tossa

Disliking a Polish person is not racism.

Racism has nothing to do with 'liking' or 'disliking' a person or race. If you dislike XYZ for whatever reason.. that isn't racism.

it is a belief that one race is superior to another..

it is belief that YOU think you are superior.. due to your race and or colour

    racism
    ˈreɪsɪz(ə)m/
    noun
    noun: racism
the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics, abilities, or qualities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races.
    "theories of racism"
prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior.

    absolutely correct

My conclusion:- Its a free country, where the people who legally live here have the choice to like or dislike whom they choose, without being referred to in a demeaning manner. There must be people who you dislike, so therefore, are you a to**er?? :)

Ask him why he doesn't like every polish person that ever existed , then we can decide if it is based on racism .
Sounds like the narrow minded sort of person that I try to avoid .

It is always dangerous ground to have a strong opinion on race or religion. I do not have any great feelings to any specific race or religion but I do dislike intensely some aspects of different cultures which are practiced under the banner of race or religion. I do not like treating a member of a sex different to others (some do); I do not like the idea of disposing of old people by building them an igloo without a door (don't think they do this any more plus I am old); I do not like ritual circumcision of either sex for cultural reasons. If all of the above makes me a racist then so be it. It is those practices which I hate not the people.
There are many other quirks of individual societies which are deemed unacceptable to others and we should feel free to discuss without being branded.

    Hi.
As a "Sad Old Git",racism has never featured greatly in my life,my slant is this.

If ever i should come around/be brought back to life, through the kiss of life/blood transfusion etc. I would not care, what colour,race,religion...... gender ? ooooeeerrr misses. the person was doing the saving,i would thank my God for giving them the talent and compassion..
"Once upon a time" LOL. You could josh with all sorts of people, the only thing to fear, was if they had a short fuse, this could lead to fisticuffs, chance you took...NOT court proceedings.
    Live and let live.
    Tea Bag.
PS. "The Person"........ Tootles ?....... Weeeeelllll ?
