We have a Ford transit wheel base rwd 07.
Can you tell me what the numbers on the plate inside the door mean?
The dealer says it's 670 payload but cannot find that figure anywhere.
We need to know how much our payload is and when we weigh, what should we weigh fully laden?

3500
6300
1750
2250

any idea's please?

3500. Gross max weight eg fully loaded
6300. Train weight eg towing a trailer
1750. Front axle max weight allowed
2250. Rear axle max weight allowed

any idea's please?

See above
Only way to find payload is to take it to a weighbridge don't believe the dealer.

3500. This will be your "gross" or "mam" weight The very maximum your vehicle should weight and that includes all people, fuel, water,,,,etc. Everything inside or fitted.
6300. Train weight, total of your vehicle and any trailer
1750. Max front axle weight
2250. max rear axle weight..

Ignore any dealer payloads, they are most likely just looking at a manufacturers spec in a book.. The only true way is to take it on a weighbridge.. Anything added as an extra and not standard will reduce payload figure.. ex. add a wind out awning and that could be 30kg...

3.50 Tonnes max.
1.75 Tonnes one axle.
2.25 Tonnes, other axle.

So load up as you want to travel and weigh. Or take everything out and weigh and subtract from 3.5 Tonnes.

Strictly you should weigh front and back axles to be totally sure. If you hung a scooter on the back you definitely need to weigh both separately.

So how do you find out your vehicle's weight before the laden weight.
ie the base vehicle weight without taking it to a weighbridge?
Should it be printed in any documents anywhere on the vehicles documents?
Not sure of the whereabouts of a weighbridge around us.

As everyone else has said, it will be a nominal figure printed in a brochure, you could email autosleepers with the details and they should advise the brochure figure.
Google public weighbridges and your location, soon find the nearest. I went to a local trading standards weighbridge, they don't charge unless you want certificates.
Not only used to check the loading but I confirmed the tyre pressures with the tyre company.

I just found out on the owners manual we can carry 588 kilo. That's 92 stone that's amazing weight we can carry. Well never exceed that.
With Terrys weight at the included 12 stone we should be laughing.
Not saying mine lol. .
But we will visit a weighbridge.

WRONG.

You just read what the makers calculated when it was first built.

Believe only the weighbridge.

If get stopped in the UK and are over you don't move 'till you lighten the load and you get a fine.

If abroad, they just shoot you and set fire to the MH.

when you visit a weighbridge make sure the fuel tank, water tank, grey waste tank and also the WC cassette are full those four variables can catch you out. Also weigh with the van packed for a trip including food, bikes etc then see how much payload you have left, it will not be much if you are not over even. Oh and make sure you are BOTH in it as well.
100 litres of water 100kg
100 litres of grey 100kg+
100 litres Fuel 100kg+
2 people say 200kg
total so far 500kg not looking good is it.
oh and don't forget a dog or two if you have them do you actually need clothes and food, hee hee
