Hi all, wife has real difficulty getting into the motorhome (on alko chassis so unable to fit an electric step to the hab door :-( )
So, looking at fitting one to the cab passenger door? Anyone know if this is feasable?

Have a look at AVS Steps. I’ve seen these fitted to the cills under cab & passenger doors.

Hmm took a while between coming back from Ireland and them replying but they've replied today to say they only do their steps for the side sliding door and not the cab :-( My hunt continues.

Why not have fixed sidesteps, I made and fitted sidesteps to both the passenger and driver's side of our van as at the time I could not find any available, but I see that Motorhome Retrofits can supply and fit fixed sidesteps for you.

Side steps are a possibility but no good when we're parked up as the seats swivelled then. So they will help with some of the issue just not all. If I could get a step on the hab then she could use that door all the time, that would be the ideal.

I thought that your question was ......... "So, looking at fitting one to the cab passenger door? Anyone know if this is feasible?"
Ah yes and no, still actually exploring the feasability of one on the hab, trying to find dimensions of the slide out thule ones. but am pretty resigned to the fact its going to probably have to be a side step on the cab which will at least remove some of her burden :-( Half a loaf and all that.

It might be worth contacting the likes of the guys at https://www.motorhomeretrofits.co.uk/ or https://www.rhinoinstalls.co.uk/ to have a chat with them to see if they can come up with a solution to installing an electric slide-out step for your hab door as most things that are impossible are in fact doable as I have found with the right person putting their mind to it.
