Passenger door security.

I have a moho built on a Renault, when in bed at night I secure the drivers door and the hab door with a strap, so that's as secure as the screws holding the handles. My question is on the passenger door there is a blank in the key part of the door where the key would fit, as my moho is away in storage I wonder what is behind that blanking piece, ie, just a hole or is there some of the lock, I don't know, so I wonder can anyone tell me.

Do you have more regarding the model? Also, could you not use the seatbelt to go around a handle on the interior and clip it back in? Just a thought. Pic may help if you are by your van. ?
