We may be using the Pass Etape village and Aire sites this year. Please could someone explain how the WiFi can be obtained on the sites. From what I have read most have hot spots, just not sure how we will access it.We have the card already, just need to figure the WiFi out.
Many thanks

From their website...

WiFi, access to free Internet via a password-protected WiFi network (find them in the areas list).

I assume the password will be listed in the info section for the aire you want to stay at, if they have Wi-fi

From memory they have made it a bit more difficult recently. There should be something on a notice board at the entrance. You may have to ring someone but they speak good English. :)
We have a good mifi setup now so don't bother but I have used their system in the past and it worked OK. :)

We've used two CCP aires in the last couple of weeks, and the process for wifi was different on each of them. On the first, we had to register, supplying name and address and email address. On the second, it was completely open and we just had to accept the T&C. We had to re-accept the T&C about once an hour.

Previously, we registered on our first aire and subsequently the system seemed to remember who we were.

Although we use CCP we have never used the wifi, no point as we have loadsa data.
The passwords are on their website, but I would never use a shared wifi for any financial transaction, which is probably why they provide it, so you can pay.

Hi everyone,

Many thanks for all your help.

Reallyretired, I must be looking at the website wrongly as I cannot see the WiFi passwords on there. Am I being dim?

Many thanks

Pam

You need to download the pdf list of aires, the passwords are on there. Mostly you use your email address.

Open the link on post 5 and you will see that some require your email address, some a number and some specific e.g. campingcarpark
