Hi - quick question...

Anyone know what the daytime parking is likely to be like this week on Conwy Road between Llandudno and Penrhyn-side (just past the Craig-y-Don Paddling Pool) ?

I am taking my 90 old parents out for a day trip in the van and have ear-marked parking along the road there so they can sit and watch the sea. Its a long way to go if the parking is usually full up along the road; so thought I would ask if anyone local would have an idea.

Thanks

Drove along there this afternoon. It was absolutely rammed. Usually west shore in Llandudno might be a bit better but with the kids off and a bit of sun it just gets busy. I drove over to Colwyn Bay and there were a lot more spaces there but of course it's pay and display there.

Thanks Robert. Think I will head to Colwyn Bay and try along there (don’t mind the pay & display)

Robert is correct - parking along the promenade near the paddling pool will be very busy especially if the weather is nice. You have a much better chance in West Shore and there is a pay and display car park right near the sea towards the sand dunes with a very good lunch/refreshments spot (Beach Cafe). Do your parents have a blue badge as they might be exempt from parking charges.

Yes they have a blue badge. Will have a look at West shore as an option as well. Thanks

On your way, Id recommend a stop at the Tides Bistro to give that try without the "dudno" crowds, free parking and right next to the north wales coastal path on the beach easy access off the A55 30 seconds. Toilets, inside seating etc etc, it joins a thornleys leasure holiday park.
Nice balcony to sit out for a brew or eat in.#, or you can sit the vans chairs out on the grassed area.

Just a quick one to be aware is that the car park at west shore has a height barrier so unless you have a PVC you won't be able to get in there.

Thanks everyone. In the end I found a nice car park over looking the sea at Llanddulas. Loads of room, not very busy and free to park. My parents had a really great day 👍
And very very bumpy ....lol

nice down there :) glad they had a good day.
