Swmbo wants to visit ikea in leeds on sunday, we have a 9 m mh which I feel wont go in their car park, would like somewhere localish to park for a couple of hours. We have the toad with us and was thinking of outside the asda at Morley unless any of you nice people know of anywhere more suitable.
Thanks chris

There is an open area of car park behind their multi storey where your van will fit

Think all us men are surprised what our other halves can fit in an aygo. Should I wear walking shoes for the return journey

The Asda at Morley is more squished than IKEA itself. Sunday is the worst day to go to IKEA. Saturday is quieter.

There is a big car park at the other side of the road where the cinema is. Also if you go further along the main road towards Huddersfield there is an industrial estate on the right, just beyond IKEA. That will be quiet on a Sunday

Morley is a bit away from Ikea. I would park in the carpark at the retail park Currys is on - Junction 27 retail park, I think its called.

I agree with parking at Curry’s/TGI Fridays . It’s only a short walk then to IKEA but I would go early.
Yes agree. If you get there an hour before opening you have a chance. A 9m motorhome will effectively take 4 spaces so you will be very popular 😬

I was suggesting this area where the red pin is . Probably be able to park on the roadside as it's quiet round here on a sunday

I once had a Renault Scenic. Great for loading lots of stuff in. I backed up to the loading bay in IKEA at Lakeside (Saturday afternoon, busy as hell). Loaded huge amount of boxes into rear. Slowly pushed the hatchback down to squeeze it all in and.......BANG! The whole rear screen blew out with the sound of a shotgun. Luckily I was unhurt, except for my pride. The entire parking bay went silent as all eyes turned to me To add insult to injury, it was only on arriving home that I discovered my particular Scenic had an option which allowed the rear screen to open up separately from the tailgate! Absolute Mug!🫢

My mate holds the world record for bloke time spent in Ikea, 6 hours. Ikea Barcelona, so an away game as well. We both had places in L'Escala at the time and he was fitting out a whole flat. Had to take him to the bar when he got back, he was a broken man. Made my 4 hours a couple of months before seem quite pathetic.
