Hi, can anyone tell me if this is still available for MH parking. I see on CamperContact that its still open for overnight MH parking but I seem to recall people saying that it was no longer available. I will be arriving in Dover at 01:30 and will be looking for a spot to park up for the rest of the night. Any suggestions would be most welcome.
Many Thanks

we parked up there for a few hours till 01:30 along with a few others about 4 weeks ago,no problems.

Don’t oversleep or you will be booked after I think around 08.30?

No problem in parking overnite .

Last time we were there it was free from 6pm till 9am, We arrived 1/2 hour early and it cost us £1. If in doubt ring Dover tourist info as we did .

I am a big fan of getting on the boat , and stopping straight away on the other side , which is always Dunkirk. Boat is less busy and you aren't parked up waiting to get on a dearer boat. Going over tomorrow, 10pm, will land 1am their time and stop, get up at 8am and go.

If you are on a morning crossing , its almost lunch by the time you get going, on the other side, day is half gone

Interesting. We use the other approach. We drive to Dover to arrive there late afternoon, stay over night and have breakfast on an early ferry. We do this because it only takes a small shunt on any motorway and things can go horribly wrong. We usually get to France around 10ish then drive till about 4. Each to they're own. Last time we drove into the port and after passport control drove straight on to the ferry and parked against the front door with about a dozen trucks and 20 cars, the ship was almost empty.

I don't have enough days to burn one up just getting to the boat, its 3.5 hours for us , to Dover, if we get away at 6pm , after work and we can make the 10pm , eat on the boat , have a beer and a chill out, drive 5 mins, and park and be ready to go at 8am. We are normally on a Thursday night boat ( 7 this year I think) and only missed the 10 once, and got on the 12( which is what I always book cos its cheaper).

Proximity to the docks makes the decision for you I guess, but I cant recall the last time I did a morning or even daytime boat.

There is a spot up at the top road by the castle , used it several times no probs .
