Parking in Sudury

morning all hope your all well, we are planning a trip to Suffolk and we would like to visit Sudbury and Lavingham and was just wondering if any members live or know these areas and where we could park a 7.5 m motorhome, first time doing this as we are new to this game so any advise would would be grateful.

Hi I am a fairly local resident of Bures, Suffolk, And welcome on your trip to Suffolk, Unfortunately within Sudbury Town parking is a massive issue you may be able to get a few hours in the lorry park beside Waitrose ( very small ) but I did read of a Motorhome being moved on. Your best bet is to park on the Chilton Industrial site ( just a small linking road ) near Chilton church then walk into town which is 10 min downhill, poss a taxi uphill.
Lavenham has a large Visitors car park behind the Cock Inn opposite Lavenham church then 5 min walk to village centre.
There is an official caravan / Motorhome site at Polstead if looking for a place to stay which is 20 min from both of your destinations.

There is a campsite at Little Cornard which is on a bus route, from memory they are fairly frequent.

Just a heads up the bridge in Bures is closed for a month so I would advise avoiding the diversions as no place for a 7 + mts motorhome
